Candace Rhyne Blackley

I earned a BA, BS and MA.Ed after high school. I then worked for the state of NC for 5 years as a disability specialist; for an environmental consulting firm for 11 years; and as a clinical study manager for pharmaceutical companies for 18 years before retiring in 2015. I married Ron Blackley in 1972 and have two children. I became a first-time grandmother to Ava Love in March 2019.

I love traveling and have been to 37 foreign countries. I am active in the League of Women Voters, sing in the choir at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cary and I am president of the board of directors of the Cary Community Choir. Life has been good!
