Stephen Wayne Harkins, age 57, died July 9, 2010 at his home. Born September 17, 1952 in Vicksburg, MS to the late Woodrow Wilson and Ida Kathryn Coker Harkins, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Harkins and Curtis Harkins.A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive friends following the service.Surviving are his wife, Holly Hecker Harkins; son, Stephen "Nathan" Harkins of Raleigh and two daughters, Kathryn "Katy" Harkins of Raleigh and Kristina "Kristy" Harkins of Pine Level.In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Steve Harkins Scholarship Fund at North Johnston High School for FFA, 5915 Highway 301 North Kenly, NC 27542.
