Paul Thomas Berry

Paul Thomas Berry died in his sleep on Sunday, November 27, 2005. Tom was born January 20, 1951 in Marion, NC. In his early life, he lived in Bakersville, NC, Winston-Salem, NC and Charleston, WV, before moving to Raleigh in 1960. He graduated from Sanderson High School and attended NC State University. He had a lifelong love of Volvos, and rebuilt his first engine before he was old enough to drive. This interest in automobiles led to his lifelong work. His smiling face and gentle demeanor greeted his many loyal customers, who brought their Volvos to him for service and repair at his business, BradBerry Volvo.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Judy Radford Berry, who was his constant and faithful companion at home and work. He is also survived by his mother, Anne Wood Kelley of Raleigh; brother, William Rosser Berry of Raleigh; sister, Lou Kelley Brewer, of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Jamie West; and grandchildren, Dally Lee West, Shyanne Grace West, and Gabriel Manuel West; nieces, Erin Berry Anderson, Rachel Anne Berry, SarahViolet Brewer, and Emily Elizabeth Pratt; and nephews, James Rosser Berry, Samuel Hart Brewer, and Michael Elliot Pratt.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James William Berry of Bakersville, NC and his step-father, Frederick Stone Kelley, of Raleigh.
